14 Buildings and Traffic Signals to Undergo Electrical Interruption on Saturday, March 5

Summary of disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will interrupt power to eight buildings and signals at two intersections on Saturday, March 5. Campus electrical crews will be on standby to restore power.

The approximate times of the power interruptions, affected buildings and traffic signals are:

 

5 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.

College of Business Administration (Buildings 162, 163 and 164)   

 

5 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Science Laboratory (Building 3)

College of Science (Building 8)

University Office Building (Building 94)

 

5 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Residential Suites (Building 54)

Foundation Administration Offices (Building 55)

 

5 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Vista Market (Building 52)

Residential Suites (Building 60)

Residential Suites (Building 61)

Residential Suites (Building 62)

Residential Suites (Building 63)

 

5 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Parking Structure 1 (Building 106)

Reason for disruption: Allow contractor crews to initiate electrical loop tie-ins to the new campus electrical system.     

How does this affect me? Avoid being on campus during the power interruption.  

What do I need to do? Turn off lights, computers and other electronic equipment before leaving offices and workspaces on Friday, March 4. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
