Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Testing Scheduled in Three Buildings on Monday, July 18

Summary of disruption: State-mandated annual fire alarm and sprinkler inspections and certification testing are scheduled in three buildings on Monday, July 18. Audible alarm testing will be conducted from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and silent alarm tests will commence at 8 a.m. Inspections and testing are expected to be completed in the afternoon.  

Testing times and the affected buildings are:

Don B. Huntley College of Agriculture (Building 2) starting at 8 a.m.

Science Laboratory (Building 3) beginning at 9 a.m.

Biotechnology Building (Building 4) starting at 11 a.m.

 

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire sprinklers, alarms and strobe lights are working properly.

How does this affect me? Audible alarm testing in the buildings is scheduled from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Afterward, silent testing of alarms and strobe lights will be conducted. Elevators will not be in service during the tests.
