First Phase of Electrical Cable Installation to Start on Tuesday, June 22

Summary of disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will initiate the first phase of electrical cable installation in underground duct banks around various part of campus starting on Tuesday, June 22. The work will be performed on weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This phase of cable installation is expected to be completed in early July.

 

Cables will be installed near:

College of Business Administration (Buildings 162, 163 and 164)

CLA classroom side (Building 98)

College of Engineering (Building 9)

Art Department and Engineering Annex (Building 13)

Engineering Laboratories (Building 17)

Huntley College of Agriculture (Building 2)  

 

Reason for disruption: Allow the contractor to install the new campus electrical system.

How does this affect me? Cable installation will be performed underground and is not expected to cause detours.

What do I need to do? Pedestrians and drivers of campus of campus vehicles are urged to use caution when approaching the work areas. Please share this information with others in the building who may have not received this message.
