Three-Hour Electrical Interruption to Impact 12 Buildings on Saturday, Feb. 26

Summary of disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will interrupt power to 12 buildings from approximately 6 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26. Campus electrical crews will be on standby to restore power.

The affected buildings are:

Water Treatment Plant (Building 27)

Fruit Unit (Building 28)

W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center (Building 29)

Apparel Merchandising and Management (Building 45)

Custodial Services Office (Building 48)

Facilities Training Center (Building 49)

Former Rose Float Construction Facility (Building 64)

Pesticide Building (Building 65)

Procurement (Building 75)

Interim Design Center (Building 89)

Rose Float Laboratory (Building 105)

Citrus House (Building 117)

 

Reason for disruption: Allow contractor crews to initiate tie-ins to the new campus electrical system.     

How does this affect me? Avoid being on campus during the power shutdown.  

What do I need to do? Turn off your computer and other electronic equipment before leaving offices and workspaces on Friday, Feb. 25. Please share this information with others in the building who may have not received this message.
