Concrete and Asphalt Replacement to Focus on Sections of University Quad Starting on Monday, April 24

Summary of disruption: A concrete and asphalt replacement project focusing on sections of the University Quad (marked in red on the map) will start on Monday, April 24. Contractor crews will work primarily on weekdays from approximately 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Concrete replacement in a small patch in front of Cedritos Residence Hall (Building 58) also is scheduled. The work will not affect access to buildings and the project is expected to be completed by Saturday, May 13.

Reason for disruption: Allow contractor crews to remove dilapidated concrete and asphalt and install new layers.

How does this affect me? Pedestrians and drivers of campus vehicles are urged to use pathways and detours around the concrete replacement sites. Access to nearby buildings will not be impacted.

What do I need to do? Proceed with caution when approaching the work areas. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
