University Drive Reopens to Two-Way Traffic on Monday, Dec. 19 After Rehabilitation Project

Summary of disruption: University Drive will reopen to two-way traffic starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19 after a months-long road rehabilitation project. The road has been widened to accommodate a dedicated shuttle bus lane and measures to enhance pedestrian accessibility have been implemented.

Reason for disruption: In addition to the installation of new layers of base and asphalt, crosswalks that comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements have been installed and ADA parking spaces have been reconstructed.

How does this affect me? The widened road is expected to ease traffic congestion on the former two-lane street and shorten the drive time to several campus buildings.
