Return to Normal Campus Operations Tuesday

February 5, 2024

While inclement weather will continue this week, Cal Poly Pomona will return to normal campus operations on Tuesday, February 6 – including in-person classes, work, services and other activities. Please continue to use care when traveling and allow extra time.

See instructions for students, faculty and staff below and check this safety webpage for any future updates.

Students

Assume your classes will return to normal schedule and modality unless you hear otherwise from your instructors. Please check Canvas and your email, or email your faculty directly if you have questions.

Faculty

Please hold classes as scheduled while considering options for flexibility in modality to address the ways students may be impacted by weather conditions in their local regions. Please communicate your plans with students directly.

Staff

All employees should return to their regular work schedule and modality. Coordinate on work expectations directly with your supervisor.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding during these weather-related changes. Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe.

Storm Alert: Remote Classes and Work on Monday, Feb. 5

February 4, 2024

Out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of students, faculty, and staff as the highest priority, Cal Poly Pomona will pivot to remote classes and remote work for non-essential employees on Monday, February 5, 2024 due to the storm. The campus will remain open and minimally staffed, including University Housing, the Library, Centerpointe and student health services.

We will provide an update via email and on the safety and emergency web page by the end of business on Monday regarding operating plans for Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Please see instructions for students, faculty and staff below:

Students

Your classes will be remote if not cancelled. Please check Canvas and your email, or email your faculty directly if you have questions.

Faculty

Hold classes remotely if possible or cancel if not. If remote, please ensure that material covered will be available to students without power or virtual access. Please communicate your plans with students directly.

Staff

Essential employees should report to campus. Non-essential employees should work remotely. Coordinate on work expectations directly with your supervisor.
