Many Roads Lead to Mass Vaccination Hub at CPP

The mass vaccination hub at Cal Poly Pomona is located in a large parking structure, but that doesn't mean that a car is required to receive a shot. Strategically located near the 10, 71 and 57 freeways, the hub is open to multiple modes of transportation - cars, bikes, buses, rideshare, walking. The hub is a walk-in facility, requiring all to exit vehicles or other modes of transportation and enter the hub on foot.

When the vaccine hub opened in February, community leaders praised the hub's accessibility to the community.

"We're going to provide access to people that may not have a car. What's really important here is that people have access, that they can come up, they can take a bus ride, possibly even take the Metro. We should make sure that everyone takes advantage," Los Angeles County Supervisor and Cal Poly Pomona alumna Hilda Solis said at the hub's opening in February.

Here's how you can get to the mass vaccination hub at Cal Poly Pomona:

By Car
Cal Poly Pomona's vaccine hub is located in Parking Structure 2. Drivers should navigate to the entrance at 674 Kellogg Drive, Pomona. The hub offers plenty of parking and accessible parking. Shuttle service is also available for those who need assistance.

Rideshare (Uber, Lyft)
The vaccine hub is also accessible via rideshare services like Uber or Lyft, which can drop off at the address of the vaccine hub, 674 Kellogg Drive, Pomona.

By Bus
Foothill Transit has two bus stops off of South Campus Drive and Kellogg Drive, one going west and one going east. From either of these bus stops, the vaccine hub is about a 5-minute walk. These stops are accessible from lines 190, 194, 195, 289, 480, 482, or 486.

By Train
The vaccine hub is also accessible by train. From the Downtown Pomona station, Foothill Transit has two routes to Cal Poly Pomona. The 480 bus departs from the Pomona station every 20 minutes and is a 27-minute bus ride to CPP. The 482 bus departs every 30 minutes and is also a 27-minute bus ride to the university.

From the Pomona (North) station, there are three bus routes to Cal Poly Pomona. For the least amount of walking, go to the 291 bus stop at Arrow Highway and Garey Avenue and ride to the Pomona Transit Center. Then, take the 480 bus to the hub at Temple Avenue and South Campus Drive.

From the City of Industry station, there are two routes to Cal Poly Pomona. The 194 bus is a 20-minute walk from the City of Industry station, followed by a 14-minute bus ride to CPP. The 482 bus stop is a four-minute walk from the City of Industry station and then a 35-minute bus ride to CPP. Both of these buses depart frequently.
