CPP marks 100 years of W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center

The W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center at Cal Poly Pomona, founded in 1925 by cereal magnate W.K. Kellogg, will celebrate its 100-year legacy with a centennial Sunday Horse Show on May 3 — continuing a tradition that has drawn the public for generations. The center is woven into campus life through student programs, hands-on learning opportunities and community initiatives. For example, the Horses for Heroes program offers therapeutic experiences for student veterans like Jesse Padilla (27, master's in accounting). Executive Director Anthony Stone, AHC live-in student and aspiring veterinarian Kayla Armstrong (‘28, animal and veterinary sciences), and Breeding Coordinator and Equine Care Specialist Rebecca Herrera are also quoted throughout this feature story.
