Joseph "Joe" Simoneschi Associate Vice President to Finance and Administrative Services Cal Poly Pomona

Joe Simoneschi began his appointment as the Associate Vice President to Finance and Administrative Services in October 2017. He was drawn to Cal Poly Pomona because of the university’s role in guiding and supporting students in reaching their goals in the state’s higher education system. In addition, he noted the university’s strong faculty and staff, diversity, and the role the associate vice president has in collaborating with the campus community.

“I deeply believe the commitment we make to work in a public system, whether it’s education, government, or a non-profit, is a calling, and committing to public service allows us to help others and have a broader impact on our collective future”, he said.

Joseph assists in the university budget and accounting services, student accounting, and support services. He brings with him a wealth of experience in financial services, purchasing, and other administrative support services from the County of Los Angeles and Pasadena City College.

Mr. Simoneschi holds a bachelor’s degree in business management and a master’s degree in organizational leadership.
