Application Process and Timeline

Application Process

Pre-proposal application – A pre-proposal application is a prerequisite for submission of a full proposal. Applications must be submitted online. The call for pre-proposals is announced by the provost by email annually in April. The application consists of a brief abstract and description of the proposed project, as well as a summary of the approximate costs.

Important:  Thank you for your interest in submitting a pre-proposal application to the Kellogg Legacy Project Endowment.  However, this year the Endowment will only award single year projects.  We apologize this wasn't communicated in the call for pre-proposal announcements.  We hope this does not discourage you form continuing to apply for a one-year project.

Full proposal application – You must receive an invitation to submit a full proposal. This stage is meant to give the applicant an opportunity to provide greater detail on his or her project, as well as provide additional budget information. Full proposals will have additional review before final funding decisions are made.

Note: When completing these applications, it is strongly recommended that you start in a Word document and copy and paste text into the application form when you are ready to submit it. You cannot come back to your application once you have started it.
