Dr. Kate Ozment is COOL

Congratulations to Dr. Kate Ozment for being added to CPP’s Wall of COOL for Spring 2022!

Dr. Ozment’s course, ENG 3010: Literary Theory and Cultural Studies, was selected because of its skillful use of technologies like Perusall and Discord to encourage student communication and interaction, as well as very good instructor-created videos. The selection committee also appreciated Dr. Ozment’s implementation of contract grading to encourage equity and diversity while setting clear expectations.

The Wall of COOL (Celebrating Outstanding Opportunities for Learning) recognizes exemplary technology-infused and enhanced course development by Cal Poly Pomona faculty.

EML faculty were also added to the Wall of COOL in 2021 for Dr. Olga Griswold’s ENG 4220: Language in Society and in 2020 for Dr. Amàlia Llombart’s SPN 1120: Introduction to the Spanish-Speaking World.
