2012 Cyberfair

2012 london security

The 3-day workshop will begin on the 16th of April on the campus of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

What does H.O.W. stand for? It stands for Hands-On Workshop. This 3-day intensive workshop will cover the core products in McAfee's Endpoint Protection Suites (EPS & EPA). This includes: ePO, VirusScan Enterprise, SiteAdvisor Enterprise, Host IPS, and Device Control (Policy Auditor if there is enough time and interest). As with our previous events, this is not a slide-show! Students will be working with live products in a VMware environment. You will actually leave the course with configurations for each product which can be imported into your organization's TEST environment.

The workshop runs from 8am to 5pm. The instructors will stay one additional hour each day to accommodate any student who needs a little extra instruction or assistance. These will be fast-paced and highly technical days, students should attend the course ready to follow the instructors in building the policies and configurations which will be taught and demonstrated through lab courseware. Each student should bring a laptop capable of running (at a minimum) a virtual server and a virtual workstation. All students will be installing and running an ePO 4.6 server and installing the endpoint products onto the workstation VM.

*This is "Hands-On" so attendees will need to have their own equipment.*
