Campus Map Accessibility limitations, problems, and workarounds

Cal Poly Pomona strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability. If you encounter any accessibility issues or problems with the map please let us know and also please try these workarounds if applicable:

Problem:

When the browser is zoomed to 200% and only keyboard navigation is utilized, if a user selects a building from the menu, keyboard navigation does not allow the user to exit the “Show Details” section and the user is unable to go back to the main menu.
Workaround:  If possible, zoom out your browser to 100%, and refresh the view to close the detail and return to the menu/map.  Or at 200%, refresh the browser to conduct another search.

Problem:

iPhone Voice-over, upon selecting a building from the menu, the focus is not on the building detail.
Workaround: Use the Accessible Text version of the map at https://www.cpp.edu/maps/text/index.shtml

Problem:

If you are viewing the campus map using Mozilla FireFox ESR 45.7.0 or lower, you may have trouble viewing many of the map features properly.
Workaround: To get the most out of the campus map, please upgrade to the latest version of Firefox compatible with your assistive technology. If you are unsure of the version of your browser, you can determine it by choosing 'Help' at the top of your browser window and then selecting 'About' (your browser).
