Faculty & Staff

Understanding and leveraging individual strengths is key to unlocking potential and achieving success. Below, you'll find information on how to discover and utilize your strengths, as well as resources for incorporating strengths-based practices into your department.
Why Strengths is Important
We believe in empowering our students to recognize and leverage their strengths as they navigate their academic journey and beyond. Faculty and staff can play a pivotal role in this process by encouraging students to:
- Take the CliftonStrengths assessment.
- Have purposeful conversations to help aim student's talents in the classroom, their involvements, and at jobs/internships.
- Engage in strengths-based discussions and activities in the classroom.
- Seek mentorship and guidance from faculty and staff who are familiar with strengths-based approaches.
By incorporating strengths-based practices into our interactions with students, we can help them cultivate self-awareness, confidence, and resilience.
