WSCUC

Message from Laura Massa

The WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) will be on campus Monday, October 21 through Wednesday, October 23. Their visit is a key step in reaffirming Cal Poly Pomona’s accreditation, and we need you to help make it a success.

How can you help?

There are a few ways you can help make this visit a success:

  1. Give WSCUC a warm welcome and show off your Cal Poly Pomona pride! Wear your Cal Poly Pomona gear, and if you have one, wear your name badge.
  2. Participate in your open session on Monday, October 21 in the SSB, rooms 1967-1969:
    1. Faculty at 2:15pm
    2. Students at 3:15pm
    3. Staff at 4:15pm
  3. Attend the closing meeting on Wednesday, October 23 at 10am in Ursa Minor.

It’s important that we pack the house for the open sessions and the closing meeting. This shows WSCUC that we care about the future of CPP and are engaged in the reaccreditation process.

Why is WSCUC accreditation important?

WSCUC accreditation is what ensures that credits and degrees from CPP are recognized by other schools (such as for transfer or graduate school) and employers. Accreditation is also what allows us to offer federal financial aid.

Where can you learn more?

For more information about what to expect and to read the report we submitted to WSCUC, visit Cal Poly Pomona’s WSCUC page.

You are also invited to attend upcoming information sessions:

  • September 25 at 3pm in SSB 1967-1969
  • October 3 at 8:30am in SSB 1967-1969

Please keep an eye out for more information about the WSCUC visit, and know that we are counting on you to help make the visit successful. Go Broncos!
