Senior Manager, Private Event Sales, LA Memorial Coliseum
Sacha Tani, CMP is the Senior Sales Manager for Private Events for the LA Memorial Coliseum. In her new role, Tani will promote the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum as a premier venue for meetings and special events, showcasing its incredible spaces, including the state-of-the-art Scholarship Tower. She will work with other venues on campus to elevate USC’s event offerings.
She is a Certified Events Professional with over 15 years of experience in events and hospitality management. Throughout her career, Sacha has built a strong network of personal relationships in the industry, serving as the Director of Destination Services on the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board and as a two-time board member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). During her time at LA Tourism, she learned firsthand what event planners were looking for as she coordinated all client tours that came into LA. She often showcased the Coliseum, not knowing she would officially be selling the venue a few years later. Most recently, Sacha was the Sales Manager of Event and Group Sales at Universal Studios Hollywood. Sacha earned a Bachelor of Science in hospitality management from the California State Polytechnic University of Pomona.
During her tenure in the industry, Sacha gained diverse industry knowledge with roles at The Irvine Company, UCLA Catering and Conference Services, W Hotel Los Angeles, Disneyland Hotel as well as Amber Events. Sacha juggled several of these positions during her time at the Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona, before graduating in 2011. At Collins College, Sacha served on the E-Board for the Association of Student Event Planners as well as the President for the Hospitality Management Council.
