Natural Gas Shutoff Scheduled in 44 Buildings Starting on Monday, May 17

Summary of disruption: The natural gas supply to 44 campus buildings will undergo interruptions starting on Monday, May 17. The duration of the shutoffs will range from four days to 12 days in specific buildings. Contractor crews will work weekdays from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Reason for disruption: Allow the contractor to make new utility connections and upgrade the current pipeline system that will allow for future expansion.

How does this affect me? During the shutoffs, hot water and heating to the buildings will not be available. The natural gas supply to labs also will be turned off.

What do I need to do? Faculty and staff can occupy offices and workspaces in buildings while the gas is turned off. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
