Four-Hour Electrical Outage on Thursday, Nov. 11 to Impact Majority of Campus Buildings

Summary of disruption: Most campus buildings and facilities will undergo a power interruption on Thursday, Nov. 11 from approximately 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Campus electrical personnel will be present to restore power. The university will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.

 Reason for disruption: Allow the contractor and campus electrical crews to investigate power transfer tie-ins and make any needed alterations to the electrical system for the Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project. 

How does this affect me? Avoid being in the buildings during the power interruption.

What do I need to do? Turn off your computer and other electronic equipment before leaving offices and workspaces on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Please share this information with others in the building who may have not received this message.
