The Compass

Six-Hour Campus-Wide Power Shutdown Scheduled to Start at 7 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29

Summary of disruption: Electrical service to the entire campus will be shut down starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29. Power is expected to be restored by 1 p.m.

Reason for disruption: Allow a solar power company to conduct compatibility assessment for a project that will connect to the campus electrical grid.

How does this affect me? Any campus systems and components powered by the electrical grid will be off-line during the shutdown. Buildings that house research projects or experiments that require electricity need to contact Joe Boyer at (909) 979-6391 or jfboyer@cpp.edu for possible generator deployment.
