Traffic Engineering Consultants to Conduct Crosswalk Safety Assessments Starting on Saturday, Oct. 1

Summary of disruption: Engineers from the traffic engineering firm V&A Inc. will conduct a campuswide crosswalk safety assessment starting on Saturday, Oct. 1. The data collection will occur during the weekend from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the fieldwork scheduled to be completed by Sunday, Oct. 2. Engineers will be driving in marked vehicles with yellow strobe lights and wearing safety vests.

Reason for disruption: Allow consultants to perform data collection and crosswalk assessments along most of the roads on campus.

How does this affect me? The crosswalk safety assessment will not require road or lane closures.

What do I need to do? Drivers and pedestrians should exercise caution when driving next to consultants conducting crosswalk assessments.
