East Campus Drive to Close for Removal of Debris From Illegal Dumping Starting at 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 27

Summary of disruption: Both lanes of East Campus Drive beginning from Kellogg Drive to South Campus Drive will be closed for the removal of debris caused by illegal dumping starting at 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 27. East Campus drive is expected to reopen at approximately 9:30 a.m.

Reason for disruption: Allow crews from Facilities Planning & Management to remove trash and debris from illegal dumping, which often consists of debris from construction work, broken asphalt and dilapidated furniture. The debris could contain hazardous materials and must be inspected by Environmental Health & Safety before disposal.

How does this affect me? Use westbound/southbound Kellogg Drive to access Valley Boulevard during the closure.

What do I need to do? The university bears the cost to remove the debris. Members of the campus community who witness illegal dumping on or near university property are urged to report incidents to the University Police Department.
