19 Buildings to Undergo Electrical Interruptions Starting on Saturday, April 2

Summary of disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will interrupt power to 19 buildings starting at 4 a.m. on Saturday, April 2. Campus electrical crews will be on standby to restore power.

The times of the power interruptions and affected buildings are:

 

4 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Biotechnology Building (Building 4)

College of Environmental Design (Building 7)

University Library (Building 15)

Roundhouse (Building 16)

Engineering Laboratories (Building 17)

Music Building (Building 24)

Bronco Student Center (Building 35)

W. Keith & Janet Kellogg University Art Gallery (Building 35A)

Bronco Recreation Intramural Complex (Building 42)

Bronco Bookstore (Building 66)

CLA Classroom side (Building 98C)

College of Business Administration (Buildings 162, 163 and 164)

Chilled Water Plant (Building 193)

 

4 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Kellogg West (Building 76)

Kellogg West Main Lodge (Building 77)

Kellogg West Addition (Building 78)

 

From 4 a.m. on Saturday, April 2 to Sunday, April 3 at 6 p.m.

Reason for disruption: Allow contractor crews to initiate electrical loop tie-ins to the new campus electrical system.     

How does this affect me? Avoid being on campus during the power interruption.  

What do I need to do? Turn off lights, computers and other electronic equipment before leaving offices and workspaces on Friday, April 1. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
