Three Buildings to Undergo Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Testing on Thursday, July 28

Summary of disruption: State-mandated annual fire alarm and sprinkler inspections and certification testing are scheduled in three buildings starting at 5 a.m. on Thursday, July 28. Audible alarm testing will be conducted from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and silent alarm tests will commence at 8 a.m. per building schedule (see below).  

Testing times and the affected buildings are:

Parking Structure 2 (Building 107) starting at 8 a.m.

CLA Classroom (Building 98C) beginning at 11 a.m.  

University Office Building (Building 94) starting at 3 p.m.  

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire sprinklers, alarms and strobe lights are working properly.

How does this affect me? Audible alarm and strobe lights testing in the buildings is scheduled from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Elevators will not be in service during the audible tests. Afterward, silent testing of alarm equipment and sprinklers will be conducted with minimal impact to occupants.
