Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Testing Scheduled at Five Buildings on Monday, July 25

Summary of disruption: State-mandated annual fire alarm and sprinkler inspections and certification testing are scheduled in five buildings starting at 5 a.m. on Monday, July 25. Audible alarm testing will be conducted from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and silent alarm tests will commence at 8 a.m. per building schedule (see below).  

Testing times and the affected buildings are:

The Collins College of Hospitality Management (Buildings 79A and 79B) starting at 8 a.m.

The Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch (Building 79) beginning at 10 a.m.

Marriott Learning Center (Building 80) starting at noon.

Facilities Planning & Management Warehouse (Building 82) beginning at 2 p.m.

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire sprinklers, alarms and strobe lights are working properly.

How does this affect me? Audible alarm and strobe lights testing in the buildings is scheduled from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Elevators will not be in service during the audible tests. Afterward, silent testing of alarm equipment and sprinklers will be conducted with minimal impact to occupants.
