Summary of disruption: State-mandated annual fire alarm and sprinkler inspections and certification testing are scheduled in five buildings starting at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27. Audible alarm testing will be conducted from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and silent alarm tests will commence at 8 a.m. per building schedule (see below).

Testing times and the affected buildings are:

Laboratory Facility (Building 92) starting at 8 a.m.

Paint Shop (Building 96) beginning at 10 a.m.

Police and Parking Services (Building 109) starting at 11 a.m.

Student Services Building (Building 121) starting at 1 p.m.

Chilled Water Plant (Building 193) starting at 3 p.m.

Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws and ensure that fire sprinklers, alarms and strobe lights are working properly.

How does this affect me? Audible alarm and strobe lights testing in the buildings is scheduled from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Elevators will not be in service during the audible tests. Afterward, silent testing of alarm equipment and sprinklers will be conducted with minimal impact to occupants.
