Fire System Safety Tests at Five Buildings Scheduled to Begin at 5 a.m. on Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15
Summary of disruption: State-mandated testing of the fire safety systems at the College of Business Administration (Buildings 162, 163 and 164), Laboratory Facility (Building 92) and the Chilled Water Plant (Building 193) is scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15. Testing is scheduled to be completed by approximately 2:30 p.m.
Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws to ensure that fire safety systems are working properly.
How does this affect me? Fire alarms and strobe lights may be activated during testing. HVAC systems may undergo temporary shutdowns. Elevators will be intermittently out of service. Please use stairways if elevators are shut down.
What do I need to do? If fire alarms are heard after the scheduled testing period, evacuate the building. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
