Five Buildings, Parking Structure 2 and Lots to Undergo Electrical Interruption on Saturday, March 26

Summary of disruption: The Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor will interrupt power to five buildings, Parking Structure 2 and lighting to several parking lots starting at 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 26. Campus electrical crews will be on standby to restore power.

The times of the power interruption and affected buildings and parking lot are:

 

5 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Darlene May Gymnasium (Building 41)

Kellogg Arena (Building 43)

English Language Institute (Building 86)

Parking Structure 2 (Building 107)

Lighting in Parking Lots K, N and S

 

5 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Foundation Administrative Offices (Building 55)

 

8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Residential Suites (Building 54)

 

Reason for disruption: Allow contractor crews to initiate electrical loop tie-ins to the new campus electrical system.     

How does this affect me? Avoid being on campus during the power interruption.  

What do I need to do? Turn off lights, computers and other electronic equipment before leaving offices and workspaces on Friday, March 25. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
