High Heat Advisory Through Monday, Sept. 5 Issued to Campus Community

Summary of advisory: The Cal Poly Pomona Office of Environmental Health & Safety is urging the campus community to take precautions when going outdoors as extreme high temperatures reaching 110 degrees Fahrenheit are forecast in the region through Monday, Sept. 5. Please see the attached heat advisory and list of symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Reason for advisory: Prevent members of the campus community from contracting heat exhaustion or heat stroke.

What do I need to do? Avoid prolonged exposure in the sun during high temperatures. Drink adequate amounts of fluids when risk factors for heat illness are present.
