HVAC Shutdown Scheduled in Building One Starting on Monday, July 12

Summary of disruption: The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) system will be shut down on the entire first floor of Building One and the second floor of the north wing of the building starting at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, July 12. The north wing of Building One is adjacent to Mansion Lane. The work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday July 14. The HVAC system is expected to resume operations on Thursday, July 15.

Reason for disruption: The shutdown is a safety precaution to allow contractor crews to remove asbestos in the flooring of Rooms 110, 113, 113A and 113C. An environmental consultant will monitor operations to ensure that the work is performed safely.

How does this affect me? The rooms will be sealed off for the abatement work. Decontamination units will be situated in the corridor. Spaces in other parts of the building can be occupied during the abatement.
