HVAC System Shutdown in Building One Set for Monday, Oct. 12

Summary of disruption: The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) system will be shut down in Building One on Monday, Oct. 12, beginning at 6:30 a.m. to allow for asbestos abatement in Room 304 and Room 305. The HVAC shutdown will affect the entire building. The system will be restored at the completion of asbestos abatement, which is expected to be completed in the late afternoon.

Reason for disruption: The shutdown is a safety precaution and will allow contractor crews to remove asbestos in the flooring of Room 304 and Room 305.  An environmental consultant will monitor all operations to ensure that the work is performed safely.
