HVAC Systems in Building 3 and Building 4 to Undergo Testing in August

Summary of Disruption: Mechanical engineers will perform functional testing of the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) equipment in the Science Laboratory (Building 3) and Biotechnology Building (Building 4) starting on Monday, Aug. 3. Test have been scheduled on weekdays during business hours. Testing is scheduled to conclude on Monday, Aug. 31.

Reason for Disruption: Allow engineers to test and recommission the HVAC systems in the buildings to improve operations and energy efficiency.

How does this affect me? There may be minor changes to air circulation for a few minutes during testing. The system should revert back to its original setting at the conclusion of the test.

What do I need to do? If the system does not revert back to its original setting and the room temperature or ventilation becomes uncomfortable, contact Facilities Customer Service at Ext. 3030. Please share this information with others who may have not received this message.
