Student Services Building to Undergo Fire System Safety Testing Starting at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16
Summary of disruptions: State-mandated testing of the fire safety systems at the Student Services Building (Building 121) will start at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Testing is scheduled to be completed by approximately 2:30 p.m.
Reason for disruption: Comply with state laws to ensure that fire safety systems are working properly.
How does this affect me? Fire alarms and strobe lights may be activated during testing. HVAC systems may undergo temporary shutdowns. Elevators will be intermittently out of service. Please use stairways if elevators are shut down.
What do I need to do? If fire alarms are heard after the scheduled testing period, evacuate the building. Please share this information with others in the buildings who may have not received this message.
