Water Main Repair at Student Services Building to Start on Wednesday, Sept. 23

Summary of disruption: The main water supply line to the smaller western section of the Student Services Building (Building 121) will undergo repairs starting on Wednesday, Sept. 23. Repairs will be performed weekdays from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are scheduled to be completed in the first week of October. The initial phase of the repair will consist of demolition that will create noise and dust near the work site.

Reason for disruption: Allow a campus crew to repair the water main at the building.

How does this affect me? The first phase of the repair will require demolition that will create noise and dust. Debris removal and concrete replacement will be performed in the last phase of the repair work. Possible water interruptions could occur during repair work. Exterior stairs in the western section of building will be closed while repairs are underway.

What do I need to do? The repair work will create noise that may interrupt work routines. Facilities will institute measures to help mitigate the noise and debris. Please share this information with others in the building who may have not received this message.
