Westbound Temple Avenue Lanes Reopen as Emergency Water Line Repairs Continue Between CPP and Mt. San Antonio College

Update on disruption: The westbound lanes of Temple Avenue have been fully reopened as emergency repairs of a main water line continue along an approximate 1-mile stretch of Temple Avenue between Cal Poly Pomona and Mt. San Antonio College. The work will continue to cause temporary traffic delays on eastbound Temple Avenue between Bonita Drive and University Avenue. Construction crews will perform the work on weekdays from approximately 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from about 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the center median of Temple Avenue. The water line repairs are expected to be completed by Thursday, Aug. 24 .

Reason for disruption: Allow contractor crews for Mt. San Antonio College to replace a 12-inch water main line that runs under Temple Avenue.

How does this affect me? Expect delays on eastbound Temple Avenue and proceed with caution when approaching the construction zone. Follow the directions of traffic control personnel. Foothill Transit bus services and bike lane access will continue to remain operational. Allow extra time to get to destinations.
