Biography

Dr. Jeyoung Woo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). Dr. Woo is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas and specializes in Construction Engineering and Management (CEM).

His career is defined by a commitment to bridging the gap between academic research and industry practice. Dr. Woo’s research interests include quality management systems (QMS), workforce development, and labor productivity. Beyond his technical research, he is a champion for engineering education, specifically focusing on improving student success rates and creating seamless transfer pathways for engineering transfers from community colleges to four-year institutions.

Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Dr. Woo is an avid golfer and is currently challenging himself by learning Chinese. He resides in Southern California with his wife and daughter.
