Safer Return at Cal Poly Pomona

Important Student Update on COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Subject: Important Student Update on COVID-19 (Coronavirus) - 3/16/20

Dear Students:

Since we announced the transition to virtual modes of instruction last Wednesday, we've received many questions about what campus services will still be available. We have created an Academic & Student Services Support website with information on the services available both during the temporary pause of in-person instruction and transition to virtual instruction for all classes.

Starting Wednesday, March 18, 2020, faculty should deliver content remotely, virtually or have an alternative course requirement that does not require students to come to class. This includes lecture, seminar, laboratory, activity, supervisory, and independent study classes. If you have any questions about the format of your class, please contact your instructors directly. This virtual mode of instruction will continue through Friday, March 27, 2020.

Please continue to monitor the Health Alert website, your CPP email and Cal Poly Pomona social media for up-to-date information. The situation with COVID-19 is rapidly changing, and we recognize the challenges it has created for everyone. Please know that your safety and well-being are at the forefront of our decisions.

Sincerely,
Sylvia Alva, Ph.D.
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Eileen G. Sullivan, Ph.D
Interim Vice President for Student Affairs
