Campus Events & Activities Guidelines
In alignment with county, state, and CSU requirements and recommendations, the best practices guidelines offer a baseline for safety when conducting any event or gathering in person, on or off campus.
Reservations and Pre-event Planning
- All on-campus or off-campus events need to be reserved through 25Live.
- Any on-campus or off-campus event with 200 guests or more will be reviewed by the Safer Return Task Force. You will be contacted if a meeting needs to be set up for further review on your event.
- All off-campus events must follow the current guidelines on travel.
- When possible, hold events outdoors, especially if serving food and beverage.
Face Coverings
- All events must follow the campus guidelines regarding masking and face coverings.
RSVPs and Health Screening
- All events are REQUIRED to maintain an RSVP list that includes attendee name, email and phone number of who attends an event. This list should include all attendees including speakers, special guests and staff.
- All events should have an attendee list available upon request following the completion of the event(s).
- On invitations, event confirmations or event correspondence they must include following screening message:
- Please do not attend the event if you have COVID-19 symptoms or are under isolation orders and adherence to all campus protocols is required.
- COVID-19 symptoms may include the following: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, new loss of taste or smell, fatigue, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.
- If the event includes off-campus guests please include the following message in event correspondence: If you test positive for COVID-19 within one week after visiting the Cal Poly Pomona campus, please complete the Safer Return Self-Reporting Form for Guests immediately upon knowledge.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- It is recommended to have masks and hand sanitizer available at check-in or entry into event area.
- PPE can be requested for events online through Emergency Management

Guests Coming to Campus
If you are having guests coming to campus whether it is for a tour, event, to dine or other activity, please share the following messaging with the guest prior to their arrival:
Please do not come to Cal Poly Pomona campus if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or are under isolation orders and adherence to all campus protocols is required.
If test positive for COVID-19 within two weeks after visiting the Cal Poly Pomona campus, please complete the Safer Return Self-Reporting Form for Guests immediately upon knowledge.
