Subject:  Update Regarding Remote Work

Dear Colleagues,

Thank you for your continued patience as we work together to address challenges related to COVID-19. Particularly with announcements today of several local K-12 school closures, we know that many of you are concerned about how we will approach remote work.

While no cases are presently linked to Cal Poly Pomona, we continue to pursue the strategy of social distancing to dramatically decrease the number of people on campus and the potential spread through person-to-person contact. Remote working will be essential to maintaining instructional and business continuity.

To effectively enable remote work, we are identifying functions and services that cannot be carried out remotely and coordinating closely with the CSU Office of the Chancellor on system-wide guidelines. Likewise, earlier today, we communicated with all managers about the specific considerations and implications of remote work. We are addressing this matter with all haste to meet the needs of our campus community while still ensuring the continuity of university operations.

Please continue to monitor the latest updates on our institutional response at our Health Alert website. We have also set up a dedicated email account (healthalert@cpp.edu) and phoneline (909-869-2500) to efficiently respond to any questions.

As soon as we have clear guidance, we will continue to communicate relevant and updated information to you.
