Native American Studies Minor

Learn More

NASC Minor

Native American Studies minor is offered through the Ethnic & Women’s Studies Department.

The program is especially critical given the history, presence, influence and role of Native Americans in the U.S. society and the ever increasing cultural and political connections among the Indigenous peoples of the world.

The minor provides an understanding of the histories, cultures and issues faced by Native Americans. It is ideal both for students who wish to learn about their own cultural heritages and for those who seek a greater understanding of Indigenous histories, cultures and communities in the U.S. and across the globe.

Students taking this minor will gain the interdisciplinary knowledge, tools and experiences to make a difference in our ever-changing, multicultural world.
