Six-Story Side of College of Engineering to Undergo Power Interruption Starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 9

Summary of disruption: Electricity to the six-story section of the College of Engineering (Building 9) will be shut down starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 9. The two-story side of the college will not be affected. Crews are expected to restore power by approximately 10 a.m.

Reason for disruption: Allow crews to install a new circuit breaker for the new electric water heater that will service the building.

How does this affect me? The elevators and several exhaust fans will not be in service. However, lights and power to electrical outlets will remain operational. For students, faculty and staff who need accommodations, contact Manuel Montilla, ADA Coordinator, at ADACoordinator@cpp.edu or (909) 869-4095.

What do I need to do? Turn off computers, printers and other electrical devices before leaving work on Friday, March 8. Please share this information with others in the building who may have not received this message.

For any questions or more information, please contact: Martin Cartagena, Electrical Shop supervisor, at Ext. 3044.
