Four-Hour Campus-Wide Power Shutdown to Start at Midnight on Monday, Dec. 19

Summary of disruption: The campus will undergo a four-hour electrical shutdown starting at midnight on Monday, Dec. 19. The outage will affect all campus buildings and power is expected to be restored by 4 a.m.

Reason for disruption: Allow the Electrical Infrastructure Upgrade (EIU) Project contractor to switch power lines in campus buildings to the new electrical grid.     

How does this affect me? Avoid being on campus during the power shutdown. Traffic signals and lighting on campus will not be operational.

What do I need to do? Turn off your computer and other electronic equipment before leaving offices and workspaces on Friday, Dec. 16.
