The Sundt Foundation donated $4,000 to the Femineer® Program in 2019. The Femineer® Program was featured on page 8 of the Sundt Foundation Annual Report.  Students in the Femineer® Program learn technical engineering skills, engage in critical thinking and project-based learning activities.

With a low percentage of female K-12 students taking STEM courses, it is important to increase the number of females in STEM so that they may choose to major in/have a career in a STEM-related field. In August 2019, there were 87 schools and over 1,400 K-12 students participating in the Femineer® Program and in April 2020, there are 117 schools and over 2,000 K-12 students participating. Participating in the Femineer® Program shows K-12 female students that they can succeed in STEM.
