Frequently Asked Questions

We encourage staff and leaderes to reach out if you need specific support in this area. EODA has training which specifically focuses on building trust amongst teams.  If you have a more specific need please reach out to cpplearning@cpp.edu and an EODA Learning Consultant will be in touch.

All areas are still accessible; however, manager approval is required prior to coming to campus.

If we are made aware that a student is infected or impacted (family infected or passed away due to COVID) by COVID-19, a care services coordinator or Dr. Leti is reaching out to the student to check-in and provide a list of all the wellbeing services available.  Given the specific scenario, students are linked directly to the resource that will provide immediate support (Basic Needs, CAPS, Health, Student Success office, Wellbeing Coaching, etc. ). If the student is in need of linkage to a COVID-19 testing location or information from the CDC or local public health, that is being provided as well.

As always, staff may cancel their permit purchase and opt-out of payrol deduction.

For employees inquiring about taking furniture from campus, they should be referred to their HEERA Manager to report any concerns and reach out to EHS for evaluations as necessary. A workflow/chart is being developed to assist with these requests.

The President has established a workgroup to focus on how we move forward in the future for staff as it pertains to remote work.  Once that group has completed their work, we will have a better idea of what that looks like for our work in the future.

Yes, we are currently working on identifying which positions are considered to be essential and important for business continuity and we will continue the recruitment process for those positions.

Campus communication was distributed (and continues to be part of the standard payday communication) to faculty, staff, and student employees regarding the option to elect to have their paychecks mailed. Per the Chancellor's Office, campuses may not mail paychecks without the employee's authorization. Please note Direct deposit statements are no longer printed by the State Controller's Office (SCO) and are availalbe on the SCO's Cal Employee Connect website. Instructions on setting up the account were communicated via campus communication and call also be found on the payroll website.

There will be a process by which to request exceptions for face-to-face classes, labs and activities. We anticipate a very small number of classes will be approved for face-to-face mode of instruction for the fall semester. Those classes that are approved, will have to follow a very rigorous risk mitigation protocol, including social distancing, personal protective equipment, sanitation, and other approaches.
