About Me

Dr. Wendy Shi is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Cal Poly Pomona, where she joined the faculty in August 2025. Her research explores the intersection of human-computer interaction, computing education, and data science, with a focus on understanding how technology can support learning, collaboration, and meaningful work.

Before joining Cal Poly Pomona, she earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo, SUNY.
