About Me

Dr. Yunsheng Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at CalPoly Pomona since August 2022. Before joining CalPloy Pomona, he was  an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Kettering University. He received his Ph.D. in Computer and Information Sciences from Temple University in 2013, his master's degree from University College London, UK in 2008, and his bachelor's degree from Dalian University of Technology, China in 2007. 

 

Dr. Wang's current research interests include various topics in the application and protocols of wireless networks and mobile computing, especially in Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) with connected and autonomous vehicles, edge computing, and cybersecurity. He regularly publishes in scholarly journals, conference proceedings, and books.

 

Dr. Wang is the Editor of the International Journal of Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing. He was the chair or co-chair for several international conferences, including the general chair for MetroCAD 2022, the tutorial chair for MetroCAD 2021, and the track co-chair of ICCCN 2020. Dr. Wang is currently the secretary for IEEE Computer Society's Special Technical Community on Autonomous Driving Technologies.

 

Dr. Wang was the recipient of the 2017 Kettering University Outstanding New Researcher Award and the 2021 Kettering University Outstanding Researcher Award. His research is supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Justice, and SAE International.
