How Representatives are Selected

The University President shall appoint members to the Fee Committee, excluding the student representatives who shall be appointed by Associated Students Inc. and the Residence Hall Council. The committee should reflect the diversity of the campus.

Students appointed to the Fee Committee shall constitute a majority of the voting members of the committee. Faculty appointed to the Committee shall be nominated according to the rules and procedures of the Academic Senate.

Voting members of the Fee Committee shall consist of 9 members and three non-voting members:

  • Five ASI students:
    • One ASI President and/or their designee. Term is for tenure of office.
    • One ASI Treasurer. Term is for tenure of office.
    • One ASI Senator appointed by the Senate. Term is for the tenure of office. Senators will be appointed prior to the Fall semester.
    • One student appointed by the Residence Hall Council. Term is one year, appointed at beginning of Fall semester.
    • One student appointed by the ASI President. Term is for two years.
  • Two faculty members nominated by the Academic Senate and appointed by the President. Term is for two years.
  • Two administrators nominated by Vice Presidents and appointed by the President. Term of service is indefinite.
  • Three Ex-officio members who serve as non-voting:
    • One - Administrative Affairs.
    • One - Student Affairs.
    • One - ASI Executive Director or their designee.
