Study Tips from Tutors at the Learning Resource Center:
By the Way: The LRC is offering remote tutoring throughout Finals Week! Tutors are available Monday - Thursday from 9 am - 7 pm. You can email the LRC to schedule and appointment or make one through CPP Connect.

Viviana's Tip: Stay Connected... Virtually
Staying connected with friends and colleagues is important during this period of social isolation, and can help manage the stress associated with finals. A virtual hangout can help you stay motivated to keep going.

Gabriel's Tip: Make use of reminder and task-based apps on your phone
Keeping things organized on a task-list or reminder application is a great tool to keep yourself from getting overwhelmed. Some apps have the ability to create an actual checklist you can use to mark off your progress as you go, and you can organize your tasks or to-do list by category, as well as set alarms and reminder notifications to keep you on track.
Rachel's Tip: Take some time to set up your study space
Your study space area can go a long way in keeping you focused. Think about what items you might want close by -- having a difuser with essential oils or a candle can help you stay relaxed, and water, tea, or coffee can also be helpful.

Sophie's Tip: Create your own study guides
Using the notes your professor provides, you can create your own personalized study guides for one or all of your classes, allowing you to stay focused on the questions and topics that you need to spend extra time on. This is a great way to ensure you are prepared as best you can be!
Magus' Tip: Clear out distractions and keep a clear mind
Be sure to remove as many distractions as possible to keep you focused. Meditating before studying can also help to get your head in the right space and clear any mental distractions you might be experiencing. Be mindful of the amount of time you are spending on studying as well -- taking breaks can be very beneficial.
