Fall 2022 LOGRAR Emerging Teaching Professionals (L-ETP) Academy

CAFE in collaboration with LOGRAR is inviting applications for the Fall 2022 LOGRAR Emerging Teaching Professionals (L-ETP) Academy.

LOGRAR/PPOHA Scholarship (2023-2024)

LOGRAR is a project funded by the Department of Education. One of its purposes is to increase and support the successful graduation of low-income graduate students.

Sally Casanova Pre-Doctoral Scholarship

​Students chosen for the Pre-Doctoral Program are designated Sally Casanova Scholars as a tribute to Dr. Sally Casanova, for whom the scholarship is named.

LOGRAR Student Travel Award

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the LOGRAR Project at Cal Poly Pomona is dedicated to supporting underrepresented and low-income graduate students attain postbaccalaureate degrees. The LOGRAR Project is managed by the Graduate Resource Center of Cal Poly Pomona.

All CPP master’s and doctorate students presenting a paper at a conference are encouraged to apply. No awards will be released for any other purposes. Qualified awards are reviewed and approved on a first come first serve basis subject to fund availability. Students are eligible to only one award disbursement during their CPP studies. Only a limited number of awards are available. The maximum amount for the travel award a graduate student presenting at a conference can receive is $1,500.

Required Application Materials:

  1. Request for Funds (including conference name, date(s), paper title) (sample request attachment 1 (pdf) and sample request attachment 2 (pdf) )
  2. Abstract of Conference Submission
  3. Conference Agenda
  4. Conference acceptance letter or email confirming submission pending approval
  5. Projected Budget (user per diem rates from listed on the attached Grants and Contracts Memorandum (pdf)). If you are sharing a room or carpooling, the amounts must be divided accordingly.
    Documentation to support projected budget items (airfare, lodging, conference registration etc.)
  6. Letter of support from faculty advisor or current professor (letter can simply state that they support your participation in the conference)
  7. Completed the attached travel Liability Waiver (pdf)
