Next steps to prepare for Move-in

As we prepare for Housing Move-in, we wanted to share some important information:

Prior to Move-In

University Housing Services is making every effort to provide a safe and efficient Fall move-in experience for our residents and staff. To do so, we are asking residents to complete the following steps prior to arrival:

1. Select Move-In Appointment

  • Navigate and log into the CPP Housing Portal.
  • On the home page, there will be a notification to set up your move-in appointment.
  • You will be given a 30-minute move-in time and you will just need to select your move-in date.
  • You will receive an email and SMS notification when your move-in date has been confirmed.

2. Provide Guest Information

To limit crowd size and accommodate socially distancing recommendations, we are limiting residents to two (2) guests to assist them with their move-in. We must and will strictly enforce this two (2) guests limit at move-in to remain compliant with campus regulations.

Additionally, following campus protocol students need to provide the guests' name, phone, and email prior to arrival. Please note, this information will strictly be used for contact tracing purposes in the event of a positive COVID-19 case during move-in.  If you are planning to bring limited guests, please complete the following form prior to Friday, August 13th to expedite your check-in time: Guest Information

3. Review and Sign the Bronco Community Care Expectations

Being a part of the Bronco community means we all must take additional steps to ensure our own well-being and that of others, on campus and in the community. The University is adhering to COVID-19 guidelines issued by the CDC and other experts to reduce the spread of infection and your assistance is needed to reduce the spread. Students must read and agree to the new Bronco Community Care Expectations prior to move-in.

Prior to your arrival, please log into your CPP Housing Portal toreview and complete the new Bronco Community Care Expectations

4. Submit Your COVID-19 Vaccination Verification

Due to the potential risk of COVID-19 transmission in a close, communal living setting, University Housing Services in partnership with local, state, and federal agencies will REQUIRE its residents to be fully vaccinated prior to their scheduled move-in date.

Assigned residents will ONLY be able to move into Housing if they have completed one of the following by Wednesday, August 11, 2021:

  • Fully vaccinated residents need to upload an image of their CDC COVID-19 card to their Cal Poly Pomona MyHealthPortal, which is also used for other immunizations.
  • Approved exemption for medical or religious reasons.

Please Note:

  • There is a strong possibility that non-vaccinated residents and those residents with exemptions will be required to have daily or weekly testing.
  • Students may be removed from their spaces or have their assignment cancelled for not meeting the Wednesday, August 11, 2021 deadline.
  • Contact housing@cpp.edu for any concerns about finalizing your vaccination process prior to Wednesday, August 11, 2021 deadline.

5. Secure your Bronco Card

  • Your Bronco Card is the official photo I.D. for all Cal Poly Pomona constituents.
  • Please visit the Bronco Card Website, https://www.cpp.edu/admissions/bronco-id/, for detailed steps and instructions. Allow time for processing.
  • Students living in the Residential Halls (Secoya & Sicomoro) will also use their Bronco Card as their key card to enter their building and room.
  • All residents will use their Bronco Card for their meal plans.
  • All residents will use the Bronco Card to access the Package Room and other community spaces located in the Residential Halls. Students use their Bronco Card to gain access to campus services, programs, and buildings.
